'Happy Birthday, my beautiful boy': Rose Byrne's partner Bobby Cannavale shares touching picture of their son Rocco on Bondi Beach as he turns one

They welcomed their first child in February last year.

And Rose Byrne's partner Bobby Cannavale celebrated their son Rocco turning one on Wednesday.

The 46-year-old shared a photo of himself and Rocco relaxing at Sydney's Bondi Beach on Instagram, affectionately calling his boy, 'The Rock'.

'Happy Birthday, my beautiful boy,' wrote the actor in the caption.

With his partner likely behind the camera, the photo captured a touching moment while Bobby gazes sweetly at his young son.

He wore his ever-present New York Yankees baseball hat paired with a white T-shirt.

Meanwhile, Rocco looked toward the camera against the backdrop of the afternoon Bondi sun.

Several celebrity friends left birthday messages in the photo's comments section.

'Awwwww!! Happy B to the Day ROCK!!' wrote Wolf Of Wall Street actor P.J. Byrne.

Bobby's Will & Grace co-star Debra Messing also called Rocco an 'old soul'.

'Look at those eyes,' she remarked. 'Happy Birthday to you ALL!'

His Vinyl leading lady Olivia Wilde also shared her best wishes, writing: 'Go Rocky Go!' with champagne and milk bottle emojis.
