'One of the important things I say to people is that if you’re not enjoying training then you need to change it to something you do enjoy. It shouldn't be a chore to go to the gym or train.'

However, diet plays a key role in his regime: 'I have always been careful with what I eat, but I do think people would be shocked by how much I eat! But I don’t eat a lot of bad stuff.

'I eat a lot of lean protein, chicken and especially fish, and a lot of vegetables and salads. Protein balls are my go-to snack.

'You can’t eat exactly what you want, but so long as you are getting down the gym and having a good intense session, then you can be a little flexible with the foods you eat.'
