New York Fashion Week organizers have attacked Kanye West for his 'bad behavior' after he failed to liaise with them about his Yeezy Season Five show - causing a scheduling clash.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America has reprimanded the rapper and designer for not following procedures - telling WWD that his show will not be listed in the official NYFW schedule and warned that his actions 'should not be tolerated'.

It comes after it was announced on Tuesday that his collaboration with Adidas would be presented during NYFW during the same time slot allocated to Marchesa.

Steven Kolb, CFDA's president and chief executive officer, said the organization was 'not approached or consulted' about the show which he said is 'disruptive' to the week-long event.

He said: 'Once again, CFDA was not approached or consulted about the possibility of Kanye West showing on the official New York Fashion Week schedule...

'Not going through the proper channels is disruptive to the whole week and unfair to designers who have secured spots through the formal procedure.

Fight back: He said West's show will not be listed on the official NYFW schedule and that his actions 'should not be tolerated' by the industry

'This bad behavior is not acceptable to the CFDA and should not be tolerated by the industry.'

He said if West cooperated with the CFDA, they would be 'more than willing' to help him find a free time slot.

The Yeezy show is scheduled to take place at 5pm at Pier 59 Studios on February 15 - at the same time as Marchesa's scheduled show.

Clash: Kolb's comments come after it was announced on Tuesday that West's collection would be presented during the same time slot allocated to Marchesa, pictured last season

The high end women's wear brand, co-founded in 2004 by designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, declined to comment on the clash.

Last season West held his show outside of the NYFW schedule on Roosevelt Island in a delayed presentation causing chaotic scenes.

It started over an hour-and-a-half after the scheduled start time and some models fainted.
