Make like Malia in mom jeans from Urban Outfitters

We've been having Obama family withdrawals so luckily Malia swooped in just in time before things got really dark.

As usual, Malia did not disappoint as she arrived for the first day on the job hitting the normcore head right on the nail.

She sported a pair of mom-jeans with a cropped top and a slouchy shearling jacket to match her tan boots for a look that felt all together effortless and youthful.

Denim trends come and go but right now it's all about the 90's so if you haven't bought yourself a pair of high-rise classic denims then hot foot on over to the right and snag yourself a pair from Urban Outfitters.

These casual jeans are perfect for a low-key daytime outfit with a fresh pair of sneakers and classic white tee-shirt. Trust us, they'll pay themselves off in spades.

During her internship, Malia will reportedly be reading scripts and pitching them to executives

Malia appears to be an aspiring filmmaker. She previously interned on the set of the HBO series Girls.

Later in the day, she was seen gabbing with a co-worker after stepping out to Whole Foods to pick up lunch.

While many internships involve menial work, like getting coffee, the sources that spoke with TMZ said the Weinstein's program is not at all like that.

Malia is working in the production and development department, reading scripts and deciding which are worth pitching to executives - such as Harvey Weinstein - to put into development. The internship will run through the spring and pays around $9 an hour.

This isn't the first time that Obama's oldest daughter has scoped a career in filmmaking. In the summer of 2015, she interned on the set of the HBO series Girls.

Later in the day, Malia was seen going out to pick up lunch at Whole Foods with a co-worker

Before starting her internship this week, Malia attended the Sundance Film Festival

The wind seemed to be picking up as the two ladies returned to the office

Malia graduated from high school last spring, but she's currently taking a gap year before starting at Harvard next fall.

Her parents have moved from the White House into another home in Washington, DC so that younger sister Sasha can finish high school.

The Weinstein Company is known for prestige pictures that garner attention during awards season such as Django Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook, The King's Speech and most recently Lion.

Happy: During day eight of their tropical vacation, the Obamas were carefree and upbeat as they enjoyed the day
