Million Dollar Listings star Ryan Serhant 'defaults on $15,000 payment in lawsuit with former employee'

Ryan Serhant, the star of the Bravo reality series Million Dollar Listing New York, has defaulted on the final installment of a settlement for a sex discrimination lawsuit filed against him, his real estate firm Nest Seekers, and coworker Ravi Gulivindala, in the amount of $15,000, according to a new report.

Serhant's firm, Nest Seekers, was sued in 2015 by former broker Andrea Sedwick, who alleged she was punished at the company after reporting an incident involving her then-boyfriend, Nest Seekers VP Gulivindala, to the police, according to Page Six

The defendants failed to pay the final installment of $25,000 by the December 31 deadline, according to the website, and so an agreement was filed in court on Wednesday.

Sedwick's attorney Michael O'Neill remarked on the firm's inability to pay the final balance in court papers, according to Page Six.

'Last week, I was told by counsel for defendants that the defendants were having trouble coming up with the remaining $25,000,' he wrote.

He expressed surprise that the company was unable to pay the final balance, given they 'deal in high-end residential real estate.'

'Defendant Serhant is purportedly a "reality TV" star and presumable well-compensated. Upon information and belief, his show is called "Million Dollar Properties" or something along those lines,' he wrote.

On Wednesday, Serhant raved that his team had secured over $80 million worth of contracts in January alone by sharing a spread sheet that showed off their earnings.

'Good month of January @serhant_team. $89,737,160 in contract. But we can always do better. Keep working. Keeping talking. Keep fighting. Never rest. #READYSETGO,' he wrote on Instagram, along with a spreadsheet showing the final tally of the millions he and his teammates made.

The former broker, who has since left the firm, alleges Gulivindala choked and threw her against a wall at a party in TAO in New York, according to the New York Post.

Sedwick claims she was given fewer listings at Nest Seekers after reporting the incident to the police.

She also alleges Serhant refused to provide her with an office away from Gulivindala as retribution for reporting the incident.
