Wigged out! Oprah Winfrey sports crimped blonde hairpiece on LA set of A Wrinkle In Time 

She's known for her epic blockbuster dramas on the big screen.

But Oprah Winfrey takes on a new type of role in her upcoming fantasy adventure A Wrinkle In Time.

The 63-year-old star sported a unique blonde wig while working on the Los Angeles film set on Wednesday.

The two-time Oscar nominee - who plays Mrs. Which - wore the hairpiece which was parted down the centre and crimped.

Oprah looked beautiful in a smokey pink eye with thin black liner, rosy cheeks and pale pink lip gloss. 

The megastar, who just signed a deal with 60 minutes was also wearing a charcoal grey hoodie that read, '#OWNsurf CEO.' 

She will star in the highly-anticipated film directed by her longtime friend, Ava DuVernay.

Oprah and DuVernay previously collaborated on Selma, about Martin Luther King Jr's historic march, which Oprah produced as well as starred in.

Disney is adapting the classic fantasy based on Madeleine L’Engle’s book series, Time Quartet, with a script by Oscar-winning Frozen writer and co-director Jennifer Lee.   

The story follows a young girl whose government scientist father has gone missing after working on a mysterious project. 

Three supernatural beings transport her, her young brother and a schoolmate to other dimensions and planets in the quest to find her dad.

Chris Pine, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling are also attached to star in the film which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2018.
