She may have been simply dressed in a knitted jumper and black jeans, but Kate Upton still managed to look effortlessly chic as she caught a flight out of Los Angeles airport on Thursday.

And the 24-year-old model sported dark sunglasses and slip on black shoes, accessorising with a shoulder bag for her trip.

And she was joined by an extra special companion on her flight - her pooch Harley who was very well behaved outside the terminal.

Just a few days ago, the star was showing her more glamorous side as she stepped out at the Harper's Bazaar 150 Most Fashionable Women Gala held at the landmark Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles.

Kate flaunted her endless slim pins in a black mini skirt with lace hemline at the star-studded event.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model teamed the short form-fitting number with a chic blouse.

Chic: The 24-year-old model sported dark sunglasses and slip on black shoes, accessorising with a shoulder bag for her trip.

Her top featured a white ruffled center down the front with black sheer sleeves and white cuffs.

The event celebrated the 150th anniversary of the iconic publication with the 150 Most Fashionable Women featured in the February issue.

Madonna is featured on the cover of the milestone issue with a list of icons including Beyonce, Charlize Theron, Kim Kardashian, Priyanka Chopra, Lupita Nyong’o, Sarah Jessica Parker and Naomi Campbell.

Kate revealed her engagement to baseball player Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers last May, brandishing a huge engagement ring at the Met Gala.

'I'm really excited,' she told E! News. 'He asked me right before [baseball] season started, so we've been keeping it on the down-low for quite a while. So, I'm excited to finally be able to share it with the world!'

However she did reveal that the couple weren't in any rush to tie the knot. 'We are enjoying the engagement period,' she said.
