President Trump has caused confusion once again while on vacation in Mar-a-Lago after making an impromptu trip to his golf club in Palm Beach.

Though the official itinerary he provided to the press pool said his day was mostly free, he made a last-minute trip for a round of golf at Trump International Golf Club early this morning.

In longstanding tradition between the White House and the Correspondent's Association, the President is expected to provide detailed plans for his whereabouts throughout the day, in the interest of safety and efficiency.

He reportedly arrived at the club around 9:30am and left just after 2pm, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The president was scheduled for a 4:30pm phone call with Italian leader Paolo Gentiloni and a 4:45 pm call with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko this afternoon.

While he vacations, concerns grow over the costs levied to taxpayers for his vacation, which is said to be about $3 million, according to Politico.

The figures come from a 2016 analysis by the Government Accountability Office of a trip taken by President Obama  at the request of Republican Senator John Barrasso.

The numbers for Obama's turned out to be nearly the same as President Trump's current trip.

Obama traveled through Joint Base Andrews to Chicago in 2013 to give a speech on the economy and the middle class, then back to Palm Beach.

Republicans heavily criticized Obama for his vacations while in office and the effect that could have on taxpaying citizens.

Trump himself had harsh words for Obama while the former president took a golf trip in January 2012.

Trump tweeted: 'President @BarackObama's vacation is costing taxpayers millions of dollars----Unbelievable!'

Once more in 2014, he said: 'Obama's motto: If i don't go on taxpayer funded vacations

Again in the summer of 2016, Trump criticized Obama for engaging in the past time, saying: 'While our wonderful president was out playing golf all day, the TSA is falling apart, just like our government! Airports a total disaster!'
