He's the talented singer who can boast a slew of Grammys, a gorgeous young family and amazing voice.

But singing sensation John Legend has revealed he isn't above a little co-star envy, confessing to feeling 'a little bit jealous' of Ryan Gosling's ability to play the piano in La La Land.  

During an interview with Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli on Nova FM on Friday, the soulful crooner joked he was yet to see a flaw in the handsome Notebook star.

 While discussing John's role in the Oscar-nominated musical, Fitzy began pressing the 38-year-old singer to reveal Ryan was bad at something.

'Is Ryan Gosling an over achiever?' The radio host asked, referencing how he had purportedly learnt to play the piano effortlessly for La La Land. 

'The fact that he learnt as well as he did is pretty impressive for someone who didn't normally ... in fact I was a little bit jealous,' John revealed, laughing.

Joking, the All Of Me singer also added: 'He works so hard, I haven't seen any of his flaws yet!' 

John, who produced and starred in La La Land, also said he loved being a father, however, didn't plan to match Beyonce and Jay-Z with a set of twins anytime soon. 

'We are not trying to one up anyone on the multiples,' he said.

'I love spending time with Chrissy and her together,' he gushed. 

'... It's really fun just seeing her grow up.  Every little milestone we get excited for- she's crawling, she's standing up - she's almost close to walking but not quite there yet.'
