The singer, who also shares eight-year-old son Bronx with her hubby - wore a long beige coat with slip-ons, and a yellow beanie.

Ashlee looked pensive as her dad - who is also her and big sister Jessica's former manager - began his weekly treatment.

A family source told Us Weekly: 'Joe just started radiation. He feels fine, he’s getting through it and still working. It’s all scheduled once a week. He’s super optimistic.'

He initially revealed his diagnosis via Instagram, writing: 'Cancer… The dream killer.'

And while nobody would welcome cancer, the source told the magazine that Joe had become closer to his family.

He and Jessica, 36, had grown apart following his 2013 split from her mother, Tina.

But she has been an 'awesome' help since Joe became ill.

'Jessica was the one he wasn’t as close with, and this made them so close,' they said.
