Cr Moore said that, further to the comments of Cr Horan about waste, we need to remember that we are where we are because we have not made any real efforts over the years to reduce the waste we generate, by, for example, point-of-sale return for packaging and container deposit legislation, let alone actually consuming less, and the situation is going to continue to get worse until we address the issue, a bit like climate change.
