And now, Jess Woodley appeared to hint at the real reason for her departure from the long-running E4 series, while posing in bikini bottoms and a very sexy camisole.

The 22-year-old, who broke the news of her exit to fans while she's holidaying in Mexico with pals, shared a cryptic Instagram message about her departure.

Appearing to suggest that her life had become too stressful thanks to all the drama on the popular series, Jess told fans that she was grateful to finally have the chance to "relax".

She wrote: 'Completely fallen in love with tulum Mexico iv spent a week at @casamalca the philosophy of the resort is to mend energise and achieve true relaxation & to reconnect with your senses this place is magic (sic).'

Before adding: 'Surrounded by cleverly chosen art and incredible people ! thank you for having me.'

She matched the summer ensemble with a loose-fitting flamenco-style top, and let her shoulder-length blonde locks fall delicately by the side of her face.

With Jamie Laing and Alex Mytton both fighting for her affections during her time on the series, it's no wonder the reality star-turned-designer needed a break.

When announcing her decision to leave the reality series, Jess claimed it was because she was finding it hard to juggle her television commitments with her fashion brand.

'I'm not filming for it,' she told Star magazine when asked if she was looking forward to the new season. 'It's been fantastic and has given me the platform I've always wanted, but now I'm focusing on my fashion brand.'

But fans were left with a glimmer of hope when the blonde beauty suggested that she could always make a comeback in the future, should she wish to.

'The door's always open, but I'm working really closely with Rimmel and taking this time to focus on myself,' she said.
