'Back in the saddle!' Yolanda Hadid rides again... and reveals she's at '80 percent recovery' from Lyme Disease

Yolanda Hadid shared a seaside snap of her riding a horse on a Malibu beach to announce her progress recovering from Lyme Disease on Thursday.

'After a 5 year battle, I've finally won many obstacles I had to overcome,' the 53-year-old socialite - who boasts 3.5M followers - wrote.

'At 80% recovery i feel pretty lucky to be back in the saddle and I am determined to make it to #MyHealthJourney #ChronicLymeDisease #LifeIsGood #Gratitude.'

The Dutch-born blonde contracted the tick-borne illness in 2012 as well as both her 17-year-old son Anwar and her 20-year-old daughter Bella.

And speaking of saddles, Lyme Disease managed to effectively kill Bella's Olympic dreams as a nationally-ranked equestrian.

'Bella wanted to be a professional horseback rider, and her dream was to go to the Olympics,' Yolanda revealed on the March 1 episode of The Dr. Oz Show.

'She's been on a horse every day of her life since she was two years old. She jumped 4ft5in courses and you need to have a very sharp brain in order to do the calculations. And she started making mistakes.'
