Kelly Rutherford seemed lonesome as she was spotted hailing a cab in New York City on Wednesday.

The Gossip Girl actress recently returned from Monaco for a visit with her two children, Hermes, who will turn nine on Sunday and daughter Helena, six.

The 46-year-old attempted to signal for a taxi as she sported a charcoal grey pleated skirt and black suede boots.

The blonde starlet swept her locks back in a low chic bun which highlighted her flawless complexion and wore barely there makeup which accentuated her natural beauty.

Rutherford paired her ensemble with a light grey sweater and accessorized with a black and gold cuff bracelet, black clutch purse and kept concealed in dark shades.

The actress has been suffering as she's still dealing with a messy custody battle over her two children with her ex-husband.

Hermes and Helena currently live in Monaco with their father, 41-year-old German businessman Daniel Giersch.

Rutherford and Giersch married in August 2006 and gave birth to their first child, Hermes, two months later in October.

While the actress was pregnant with Helena, Rutherford filed for divorce in 2008 and the two have been fighting over guardianship of their two children since.

Rutherford will fly to Monaco soon for an Oct. 26 court date, according to People.

'Everybody agrees that it's best that the children be with both parents, and Kelly's enjoying being with them,' an insider told People last month.

'There is no way I am not going to fight to get my children back,' Kelly recently revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair for their November issue.

She's been fighting to bring Hermes and Helena back to the U.S. since 2012 when a California judge sent the children to live with their father temporarily in Europe because his U.S. work visa had been revoked.

The relocation was ordered for a period of two years until Giersch was able to apply for a new visa however the restrictions the judge imposed are totally unenforceable in French courts, according to ABC News.
