It was an outfit perfectly fitting for the mother of the star of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Melanie Griffith was spotted out in colorless athletic gear in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The 59-year-old mother of Dakota Johnson, 27, who plays Anastasia Steele in the erotic trilogy, strolled casually through Beverly Hills with a snack in hand.

The Hawaii Five-O star had on grey from head to toe, from her zip-up hooded sweatshirt to her tennis shoes featuring pink and white accents.
Her long, lean legs were covered in a darker hue of grey athletic pants and she made her way down the sidewalk.
She wore cat-eyed sunglasses and her face matched her top, in that both had a 'smile' wide across them.

Griffith, whose other children are Stella Banderas, 20, and Alexander Bauer, 31, will appear in two projects this year, which are already completed according to IMDB.
She'll star as the character of Maria Bahadur in Dabka, a biographical drama about a journalist who embedded himself with the pirates of Somalia to provide one of the first looks into their lives.
She'll also appear in The Disaster Artist in the role of Jean Shelton.

The dramatic comedy is a film about a film, providing a behind-the-scenes perspective on Tommy Wiseau's The Room.
The Room, which will be re-released on March 10 at the South by Southwest Film Festival after going straight to DVD in the US in 2005 and then appearing on television in 2009, is a sordid love triangle story about a man, his fiance and her seduction of his best friend.
The Disaster Artist will also premiere at South by Southwest, two days after The Room on March 12. No date has yet been set for the opening of Dabka.
