Double take! Demi Lovato, 24, is starting to resemble Demi Moore, 54, as she hits publicity circuit for new movie Beyond Silence

Demi Lovato has never been compared to Demi Moore because they have always looks so different. The only thing they ever seemed to have in common was their forename.

But lately the 24-year-old singer has seemed to be borrowing the 54-year-old acting icon's style.

On Wednesday Lovato was flashing Moore's signature style - long, sexy locks worn parted in the middle and worn down, a plunging top, dewy makeup - as she hit the premiere of Beyond Silence at the Arc Light in Los Angeles.

Lovato looked stunning in her look-on-loan.

Her glam was sexier than usual with her hair looking just windswept. In the past she has worn short bobs or had strands dyed pink.

The star also had a nice glow to her as if she had just been spray tanned. And she was showing off plenty of skin in her plunging, sleeveless jumpsuit that was royal blue and white.

The Demis seem to have a lot in common.

Both hit fame at a young age - Lovato was a Disney star at 16 when she made Camp Rock and Moore hit is big as a Brat Packer alongside Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy in the 1980s.

And both stars had challenges with substance abuse.

In 2011, Lovato entered rehab, where she was diagnosed with bipolar depression. Since her diagnosis, Lovato has been vocal about living with a mental illness.

Moore reportedly entered rehab in 1996.

On Wednesday, Lovato was celebrating her role as a producer on Beyond Silence, which follows three people - Jeff Fink, Lauren Burke, and Lloyd Hale - and their experiences with mental illnesses including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety.

'You can hear in the documentary how different they are, but also how alike they are,' Lovato told Variety on Wednesday. 'It’s important that we get that message out there because mental health is so important - it’s just important as physical health.'

Lovato also pointed out that there are solutions for people who struggle financially. Bevocalspeakup.com provides a hotline and offers approaches to dealing with mental health issues.

'It’s very important we create conversations, we take away the stigma, and that we stand up for ourselves if we’re dealing with the symptoms of a mental illness,' Lovato said. 'It is possible to live well and thrive with a mental illness.'
