Lionel Richie 'postpones joint All The Hits tour with Mariah Carey as he recovers from knee surgery'

Lionel Richie has postponed his joint tour with Mariah Carey as he continues to recover from a knee surgery he underwent last month.

The Hello hit-maker, 67, is said to have had surgery to address a painful preexisting issue in his knee, according to TMZ

However, complications arose and Lionel's injury has not been healing properly, so he's postponed the tour in order to recover, adds the website.

Lionel and Mariah's All The Hits tour was scheduled to begin on March 15, but now the website says it has been pushed back to the summer.

The Endless Love singer previously revealed in 2014 that he had a hip surgery several years past while speaking with The Daily Mirror.

Looking back at how he used to dance on stage in platform boots, Lionel said: 'Every night, on stage, we'd jump from one riser to the floor. Craziness! What was I thinking?

'I have had a little knee problem, a little hip problem, but not as bad as all that,' he added. 'Although I did have to have a hip operation three years ago and, honestly, I hardly remember which one it is now because technology is so amazing.'
