Little Women star Terra Jolé may have breast cancer and reveals she needed surgery after appearing on Dancing With The Stars 

Terra Jolé broke down on Tuesday as she revealed her terrifying health struggle.

The 36-year-old star struggled to hold back tears as she revealed on Access Hollywood that she may have breast cancer.

The Little Women: LA star is still waiting to her back from doctors who discovered something might be cancerous in her breast.

Terra has been battling health issues since appearing on Dancing With The Stars last season and during treatment doctors became concerned about the possibility of breast cancer.

After showing a clip for Little Women's upcoming season where she was considering dropping out of DWTS, the reality star revealed just how serious her health problems were.

Terra said: 'It was one of those moments where I felt like if I gave up... I was like giving up on myself.

'No matter how hurt you are you just keep going, I had multiple hernias, my diastasis was separated so all the hernias were coming out of the center of the stomach.'

Unable to contain her emotion, the mother of two said through tears: 'There is even a question of cancer but were still waiting for results.'

The star told host Natalie Morales she is not in pain and her heath concerns would have arisen whether she was on the show or not.

'No, you know it would've happened no matter what. They say that it runs in my family and it's more of a genetics thing.

'But definitely Dancing was... difficult. And [dancing pro] Sasha [Farber said] ''If you need to cancel, let's cancel,'' like he was very concerned about my health throughout the entire process.'

While signs something was not right in her breast started during her pregnancy, because she was breastfeeding son Grayson, now six months, doctors could not do the scans they needed to check for cancer until now.

'As long as I was breastfeeding, I couldn't find out about anything with my breasts. And it was - it's regarding breast cancer - so, with Dancing I couldn't have any scans because I was still breastfeeding and there was so much milk, and it wasn't until I was able to completely dry out that you will see that journey and where that goes throughout this season [Little Women: LA].'

The star - who also has daughter Penelope, 23 months - is now hoping for good news.

'We're still waiting but those results should be in this week. We are taking it one day at a time, I have a great support system.'

Terra told Access Hollywood she is recovering well from here other health issues that came up during DWTS.

'I feel great but that's the crazy thing you can feel great and still not realize you have a lot going on [but] the hernias have been fixed, my diastasis is back, I've had surgery.'

Diastasis recti is when a person' left and right abdominal muscles separate. Mild cases are common in pregnancy but Terra had a severe case as her organs had started to push through the opening.

While Terra is grateful for her time on Dancing With The Stars her husband Joe Gnoffo had asked her to give up.

'He was very scared he wanted me to leave the competition and I think a lot that was also just the stress he was dealing with basically being a single dad as he was having to look after our children.'

Proving just how dedicated the Little Women star was to competing in the dance competition, the show started just three weeks after she had a C-section.

'It's a process that I never expected it to be as hard as it was.'

Terra told People after her interview that she was thankful for the show as due to the health issues she suffered during the competition, she was able to have doctors investigate the problems she was having in her breast.

She said: 'Being on Dancing with the Stars had been an adventure of a lifetime, but it also led me to find something that may alter my life forever.'
