She’s known for lapping up the attention whenever she steps out in the public eye and Tuesday night was no exception for Miley Cyrus.

The pop star displayed her underarm hair as she made yet another statement at the 2015 amfAR Inspiration Gala, held at Spring Studios in New York.

Turning heads as she passed by, the American singer put on a display in a stunning red satin strapless gown, which boasted embellished heart detail.

With her blonde tresses styled in bold braids with shimmery glitter, Miley drew attention to her hairy underarms while posing up a storm on the red carpet.

The 22-year-old actress and singer was seen kissing her 'date' for the night - pal Tyler Ford, who she introduced on Twitter this week as 'agender'.

Miley is a strong supporter for the LGBTQ community and was honoured at amfAR, a leading organization dedicated to the support of HIV/AIDS research.

Introducing her date on Twitter, Miley wrote: 'Meet Tyler (@tywrent), a 24 year old living in New York City, and my date for @amfar tonight!!!'

'Tyler is a queer, biracial, agender person, whose pronouns are they/them/theirs.'

She added: 'Tyler shares about their identity, experiences and hopes saying: "My whole life, I was led to believe that there were only two genders.

'"I thought I had to shrink myself to fit into a box that was never going to contain me.

Miley Cyrus it seems is passionate about a lot of things. Stripping off, singing, fashion and she clearly has a lot of compassion when it comes to charities too.

She turned up to the amfAR gala last night in New York to show her support for making aids history and absolutely stunned on the red carpet.

She wore a dress that matched the hue underfoot and really packed a punch in a love heart printed strapless gown that was custom made by Moschino. The pop art dress was enough to turn heads, but even if it wasn't, the red glitter in the parting of her hair certainly was.

The pop star - who posted a snap of her creations in progress on Instagram last week - yelled: 'My left boob is bigger than the right - I'll show you! What about $69,000? I'll clean your house ... naked!'

Miley certainly feels a personal connection to the organization's mission, as she herself is bisexual and has had romantic relationships with women as well as men.
