But Orlando Bloom, 40, was spotted playing with Katy Perry's dog, Butters on Wednesday in an Instagram video that sees the dog flying through the air.

Although the couple confirmed the split on Tuesday, Orlando still appears to be very close to his former girlfriend's dog.

The little dog appears to be jumping off a platform and onto the soft sand before running toward the water.

The power couple first got together a year ago in February 2016 and spent the last year doing adorable things for each other.

But on Tuesday a rep for the couple confirmed the news to Us Weekly, just days after they made a very public appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday night.

The statement said: 'Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.'

The pop princess, 32, and the British actor have dated for over a year and were pictured flirting at The Weinstein Company and Netflix's Golden Globes Party back in January 2016.

The news comes at an interesting time as the A-list couple were spotted together at two Oscar parties on Sunday.

Things seemed to be going well at the time as they even posed for a snap as the ET hitmaker looked stunning in a shimmering Jean Paul Gaultier gown.

On Monday, Orlando even shared and adorable selfie with Katy's dog Butters which he captioned: 'A mighty heart.'

Shortly after hanging out at the Golden Globes party back in February 2016 the two were spotted kissing an Adele concert in Los Angeles.

Last month, Katy surprised the Pirates Of The Caribbean star with a secret 40th birthday bash in Palm Springs where she even debuted her newly-dyed blonde locks.

She even managed to rope in Orlando's mother Sonia, who flew over to surprise the Pirates of The Caribbean star.
