The best of Friends! Courteney Cox keeps it casual as she enjoys a low-key girls' night out with Sheryl Crow

She's enjoyed a successful TV career thanks to her roles in the likes of Friends and Cougar Town. 

And Courteney Cox proved she sticks to the work hard, play hard mantra as she enjoyed a girls' night out with singer Sheryl Crow at West Hollywood eatery, Craig's, on Wednesday.

The actress, 52, showed off her slim figure in a casual outfit as the long-time best friends grabbed a low-key bite to eat at the celebrity hotspot.

Wearing slim-fit jeans and a casual black tee, the Friends star kept the winter chill at bay with a stylish black blazer.

The mother-of-one added height to her frame with a pair of black leather heeled boots, while wearing her raven locks loose around her face.  

Courteney showed off her youthful complexion, wearing little-to-no makeup for the outing.

The star looked relaxed as she strolled from the celebrity haunt, carrying her phone in her hand.

Courteney appeared to be deep in conversation with Sheryl, who recently appeared in sitcom Cougar Town, which Courteney directs. 

Like the Friends star, Sheryl sported short black leather boots but chose black patterned trousers instead of jeans.

The Grammy award-winning musician opted for a shiny leather jacket and a statement tasseled leather bag, creating a tailored and relaxed look.

As they parted to head for home, the two close friends hugged tightly.

Sheryl and Courteney have been pals for many years, and the singer credited the actress with helping her through her breast cancer battle in 2006.

She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper in 2008: 'Having that feminine energy around me was very uplifting.

'I felt like the floor had been ripped right out from under me, and I watched my life shift in every possible way - ultimately for the better. 

'It made me consider what I wanted the rest of my life to look like, how I would treat myself. As far as I know I'm cancer free, so I feel like I dodged a very big bullet.'

Courteney raises daughter Coco, 12, with ex-husband, actor David Arquette, 45.

The actress has been engaged to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid, 40, since June 2014.

Sheryl is mother to two sons, Wyatt, nine, who she adopted when he was two weeks old back in May 2007, and Levi, six, who she adopted in June 2010.
