Exes Tarek and Christina El Moussa will NOT make any extra money over five new Flip Or Flop spin-offs

It was announced last week that their reality series will have spin-offs in five new cities.

But Tarek and Christina El Moussa will not be seeing any extra cash despite the new programs being under the Flip Or Flop banner.

The estranged couple will not be making any more money from the upcoming spin-offs of their reality series according to a Monday report from TMZ.

Insiders for the publication claim that their network HGTV told the pair that there were plans to expand the franchise over a year ago.

However, it was reportedly just done as a courtesy as they are the featured stars of the original series and the two apparently have no control over it.

Tarek, 35, and 33-year-old Christina were fully aware that they would not receive any additional money for the new projects according to TMZ's sources.

As there have been reports that the spin-offs are being produced in order to phase out the couple who announced their split after seven years in December, the gossip site added that its insiders said there is no truth to those claims.

Expansion: Last week HGTV announced that the spin-offs will be featured in cities Las Vegas, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, and Texas and will premiere throughout 2017 and 2018

Last week HGTV announced that the spin-offs will be featured in cities Las Vegas, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, and Texas and will premiere throughout 2017 and 2018.

'With the original Flip or Flop, we found that what resonated with viewers was the authenticity, the expertise, the experience and the results they saw in the show,' said Allison Page, General Manager, U.S. Programming and Development for HGTV.

She added: 'Because every market is unique, there was an opportunity to highlight what works in various regions by featuring successful people in different locations who had mastered the art of flipping in their town.'
