From surfing the conveyor belt to passing out on suitcases: The most ridiculous luggage claim sightings pictured

  • Riding on baggage carousels at the airport is strictly forbidden
  • Candid images show people sneakily riding the device, striking poses
  • One man and woman performed an acrobatic flying pose on the moving belt

Riding on baggage carousels at airports is strictly forbidden.

But for some, the lure of the moving rubber slats is too much and they can't resist a swift rotation.

Many people get imaginative with their poses, taking things to extremes in some cases.

Indeed, one bizarre photograph shows a woman riding the carousel while zipped inside a transparent suitcase (it turned out to be a publicity stunt for the human rights group Amnesty International), while another shot captures a man and woman performing an acrobatic flying pose on the moving track.

However, for jetlagged fliers the struggle to even stand up, coupled with the hypnotic draw of the conveyor belt, sees them collapsing on suitcases for a nap.
