Pete Davidson says he is sober for the first time in eight years.

The SNL star up opened up in an emotional post on Monday after disappearing from Instagram and deleting every picture he had ever posted.

The 23-year-old comedian shared a heartfelt and honest message about his struggle with addiction.

'Just wanted to let you guys know I'm okay. I know I've kinda been missing, on social media and on the show. I quit drugs and am happy and sober for the first time in 8 years,' he started in the post. 

He continued: 'It wasn't easy, but I got a great girl, great friends and I consider myself a lucky man. 

He then went on to send a message to his fans, telling them to always believe in something. 

'I'll always be here for you guys, I promise. Remember to never give up hope because sometimes that's all we got. We are a family and I appreciate all your love and support. It's nice to be back in action,' he concluded.

The funnyman ended his heartfelt message with a heart emoji. 

Pete is currently dating Larry David's daughter Cazzie David. 

He posted an ode to his girlfriend, who he credited with helping him beat his addiction in one of three photos he has since uploaded to the social media site. 

'Couldn't pick one so I went with two. Luckiest guy in the world,' he captioned the photo of the pair.

Pete, who was the youngest cast member to ever join the late-night sketch comedy show in 2014, has always been open about his struggles with addiction and mental illness.

The comedian, who lost his firefighter father in the September 11 terrorist attacks, opened up about his suicidal thoughts in the wake of the tragedy.

He admitted on The Breakfast Club on Tuesday that rapper Kid Cudi and his music saved his life.

The star got very candid with the hosts as he revealed he 'wouldn't be here' if it weren't for Cudi's debut album.

He went as far as to say: 'He saved my life. I would've killed myself if I didn't have Kid Cudi. Cudi's the best of all,' Davidson continued.

The 22-year-old Saturday Night Live star started talking about Cudi after he was asked who was his favorite musician was. 

Davidson said that the rapper got him through some of the darkest moments of his life. 'I would've killed myself. Absolutely 100%. I truly believe if Man on the Moon didn't come out, I wouldn't be here,' he said.
