Police have found body parts at the home of a jealous man who has confessed to beating four relatives to death, the prosecutor in the case said. Confessed killer Hubert Caouissin (left) was let out of custody to accompany the investigators to his farm in a remote part of Brittany, northwest France, and is cooperating in the search, Nantes prosecutor Pierre Sennes said in an email. Caouissin, 46, admitted to beating his family (pictured right) to death with a crowbar over the inheritance of gold coins. Pascal Troadec and his wife Brigitte, both 49, went missing along with their son Sebastien, 21, and 18-year-old daughter Charlotte on February 16, sparking a mystery that gripped France.

Police fired tear gas to prevent dozens of protesters from forcing their way into the agriculture ministry in central Athens, Greece, during running clashes in the area. More than 1,000 farmers, most of whom had travelled overnight from the island of Crete, took part in the demonstration. They later planned to march to the head offices of Greece's governing left-wing Syriza party.

Surfer Ralph De Bie could not believe his eyes when he saw an eagle ray battling it out with a shark within yards of a tropical island beach. The ray jumped into the air (pictured) as it desperately sought to escape the clutches of the hammerhead shark. The ray twisted and turned under and above the water (inset) but failed to get away until it came up with a novel solution. The action took place off Zapatila Island in Panama.

Dandara dos Santos, 42, was kicked, punched, and hit with shoes and a plank of wood in front of residents in Fortaleza, Ceara state, Brazil. The horrific attack was filmed (inset) and shows Dandara begging the savage attackers to spare her life, but her pleas fall on deaf ears. Dandara's mother, Francisca Ferreira, has now shared pictures of her daughter before (left) and after (right) she transitioned to a woman, as she spoke of her horror of the attack.

A mother in India who had her first baby aged 72 has admitted her health has suffered since she gave birth. Daljinder Kaur, 73, from Amritsar, in Punjab, northern India, delivered her first child on April 19, last year, but since the birth she has suffered with a high blood pressure and weakening joints. Her son Armaan is now crawling, which is taking its toll on his elderly mother who stopped breastfeeding the youngster at three months.

A region in Russia is drawing up plans to allow wealthy tourists to pay to shoot wolves from the sky in elite hunting trips costing £12,400 per kill. The aim is to fund a cull which is too expensive for the cash-strapped authorities in Yakutia, the country's largest and coldest region in eastern Siberia. The wolves are blamed for killing more than 9,000 reindeer and 500-plus horses each year costing £2million a year to nomadic farmers living in some of the world's harshest conditions.
