They have both been dumped on national television.

But love could be in the air for Bachelor alums Luke Pell and Danielle Lombard.

Luke, 32, who appeared on season 19 of The Bachelorette, revealed to Us Weekly that he and Danielle, 27, have started to hang out.

The war veteran admitted that the relationship was still very much in it's early stages, and that they have yet to go on an actual date with each other.

'Danielle and I have probably hung out like twice,' he said. 'So it's very, very new. She's great. We just haven't gotten to know each other yet. So we haven't had a real proper date.'

Luke said he met Danielle, who appeared on the current season of The Bachelor, around a month ago in Los Angeles.

'She's great. Who knows where things will go? I'm single right now, and just trying to get to know people and just take everything slow.'

Luke was actually supposed to be the current Bachelor before he was abruptly replaced by Nick Viall.

He competed for JoJo Fletcher's heart on The Bachelorette, and made it as far as fourth place.

The reality star said being on television has 'complicated' his love life.

'People assume things, and everything's in the public,' he explained to Us.

Danielle, meanwhile, was a contestant on Nick's current season, but was given the axe after a two-on-one date in Bimini.

Rachel Lindsay, who was also competing for Nick's affection on The Bachelor, has been named as the next Bachelorette.

The future Bachelorette has since admitted she would have accepted a proposal from Nick at the time of filming.

'Yes. back then, I would've,' she told E! News. 'I've moved on since then and time heals all and to be back with family and friends and work, it's a different situation, but I 100 percent would've said yes back then. That was the mind-state that I was in.'

The Bachelorette will premiere on May 22 on ABC.
