A clip from Star Wars: The Last Jedi was revealed on Wednesday during Disney's annual shareholders meeting in Denver.
Though the teaser was not released to the public, a Los Angeles Times reporter tweeted about what he saw.
The journalist confirmed the sequel - which will be released in the US on December 15 - picks up where The Force Awakens left off with Rey (Daisy Ridley) handing Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) his lightsaber while on a ragged island. Luke is seen asking Rey, 'Who are you?'

This will be in the sequel: Though the teaser was not released to the public, a Los Angeles Times reporter tweeted about what he saw
Los Angeles Times reporter Daniel Miller first tweeted: 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi clip is being screened. But it's a joke, sort of! We just got a few seconds of Rey handing Luke a lightsaber.'
He then added: 'We just saw more Star Wars: The Last Jedi footage. In it, Luke asks Rey, "Who are you?" Then we see her deftly handle a lightsaber.'
Next came this note: 'Also making appearances in The Last Jedi footage: Chewbacca, General Leia Organa and Finn. General Leia Organa was onscreen for just a second in military garb and didn't speak.'
Quick news: Daniel Miller was tweeting about the clip right as he saw it
Intel: The journalist confirmed the sequel picks up where The Force Awakens left off with Rey (Daisy Ridley) handing Luke his lightsaber. Luke is seen asking Rey, 'Who are you?'
She is back: Rey is one of the main characters of The Last Jedi which opens December 15
Organa is played by the late Carrie Fisher and Finn is played by John Boyega.
And the writer then added: 'One last thing on the Last Jedi footage: We saw all sorts of settings -- mountains, oceans, forests, deserts. Look suitably epic, exotic.
'We saw a shot of an X-wing wobbling mid-air, under attack inside a giant ship. Looked like a wounded bird.'
Later in the day Miller added: 'In the clip, a character yelled "It's now or never!" Sorry to say I couldn't tell you who screamed it!'
The film is directed by Rian Johnson.
He's back too: The LA Times also mentioned Finn, played by John Boyega, is in the clip. There was no mention of droid BB-8
Filming kicked off in February 2016 with locations at Skellig Michael in Ireland, Dubrovnik in Croatia, Pinewood Studios in England and certain areas in Mexico.
Bob Iger, Walt Disney Co.'s chairman and chief executive, described The Last Jedi as 'a perfect chapter in the iconic Skywalker family drama.'
Iger also took a moment to remember original Star Wars cast member Fisher, who died last year.
The furry guy made it too: Chewbacca is in the clip, but not Harrison Ford's Han Solo, right
'Carrie Fisher has been an iconic part in this franchise from the very beginning,' he said.
'We all miss her. She has great talent and wit. We’re proud that this movie coming up is part of her legacy.'
The Last Jedi also stars Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis in returning roles.
New cast members include Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran in unconfirmed roles.
The last Star Wars film released was Rogue One in December.
