These are the best 17-plate discounts you can get

It's March. The 17-plate is here. If you want a new car, now is one of the best times of the year to haggle a deal with salesmen. But where do you start and how do you know which models dealers are willing to go lower on? We've teamed up with the guys at online car sales site Carwow to help. They've checked their data and identified which popular models - and some desirable ones too - are currently being offered with the biggest discounts during March. These are the best deals you can get on in-demand models built to the specification you want right now. There are bigger discounts to be had on cars that not many people want and vehicles dealers currently have in stock, but our selection is based on mainstream, volume-selling examples that appeared in the 150 most-registered cars of 2016. And the markdowns are all based on models you can have built to order in your preferred colour with the equipment you want.
