A Young Gun no longer: Wham! star Andrew Ridgeley faces up to bald truth of middle age
The thick hair has gone and so too have the youthful looks that thrilled millions of Wham!' fans.
But then more than 20 years have passed since Andrew Ridgeley and his bandmate George Michael last had a number one.
At least 46-year-old Ridgeley has managed to keep his tan and appears to be in reasonable shape.
I'm your man: Former Wham! singer Andrew Ridgeley is unrecognisable as he walks to his car in Cornwall yesterday
That must be partly down to his decision to turn his back on the
music business - after a spectacularly unsuccessful solo career - and
head for Cornwall.
In the 23 years which have passed since Wham! scored their last No.1 single, Edge Of Heaven, Ridgeley has succumbed to the inevitable ageing process.

But if he looked downright ordinary in his jeans and grey T-shirt, it is certainly Ridgeley's choice.
He has deliberately eschewed the showbiz limelight and spends his time playing golf and surfing while his millions earn interest in the bank.
It was in 1994 that Ridgeley quit the London scene with Bananarama sex kitten Keren Woodward and her son Tom to live in a converted 15th century farm house.
When he does surface, it is to campaign for environmental causes, in particular safer, cleaner water.
He ventured into town for newspapers over the weekend, but was lucky to escape a parking ticket as a traffic warden was doing the rounds close to his Mercedes estate.
Motoring issues are something of a sore point for his former colleague Michael, who recently was involved in a high-speed motorway crash with a lorry and has got into trouble with the police for the state in which he's been found behind the wheel.
While Andrew and George are still close friends, their lives have gone in dramatically different directions since Wham! disbanded in 1986.
After an ill-fated attempt at a solo career, Andrew decided to remain behind the scenes as a songwriter to other artists.

Michael of course has scored massive success as a solo artist, but drug arrests have also been an unwelcome feature of his recent past.
We may begin seeing more of Ridgeley now that his partner is in the process of making a pop comeback with a Bananarama reunion.
But in a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Keren said: 'He enjoys the anonymity that he has, but also he has a complete understanding of me and why I am doing it.
'No, he’s not bored at all. He surfs, he plays golf. Our life in Cornwall is really quiet... We go to the pub and no one bothers us.
'Even when George comes to visit, he isn’t hassled. You can be normal if you choose to be. I have always found fame embarrassing, I still do.'
