'It's been really fun!': Gwen talks working with boyfriend Blake Shelton on The Voice... and admits any time she can be around him is a 'blessing'

Workplace romances sometimes don't work out for the best, but that's not the case for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton.

Stefani, 47, dished about the unique dynamic while speaking to Entertainment Tonight as she attended the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards at the Galen Center in Los Angeles Saturday.

The Don't Speak diva said that while there were initial jitters, 'it's been really fun' to sidle up to the 40-year-old Ada, Oklahoma native, who she's a judge alongside on the NBC musical competition.

'I feel like when we were coming back this season, I was a little nervous,' she told the program. 'I was like, "This is going to be weird!"

'But, you know, the show is so real ... all it is, is us just being there and being us ... obviously, any time I can be around Blake is a blessing.'

The Anaheim, California native brought her three sons with her ex-husband, Bush crooner Gavin Rossdale - Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 3 - to the proceedings.

'It was kind of last minute, so that makes it even more exciting,' she told the show of the event. (Shelton, a seven-time Grammy nominee, was not there, as he had a gig in San Diego.)

Asked if she had any parenting advice, the mother-of-three demurred, 'I don't give advice about anything, ever, ever, ever!

'I'm just so blessed to have them I have so much fun. They're definitely hard work, but it's a lot of fun.'

Dressed for the occasion: Gwen wore a dress with a slimy graphic as an homage to the show You Can't Do That on Television, which has aired on Nickelodeon throughout the years

At the event she rocked a slime-inspired cropped top and skirt combo which was paying homage to the award show's yearly motif of dumping emerald-colored goo on a celebrity.

The turtlenecked dress otherwise sported an off-white background covered in rectangular grey, white and black designs resembling windows.

She'd slid into a set of fishnet black stockings that complemented her black boots and stretched past the knee with stiletto heels to complete the look.
