Adele's secret revealed - she is wheeled past her unsuspecting fans hidden in a BOX every night of her tour

  • Adele, 28, was trying to keep her clever trick a secret until the end of her tour
  • She sits in a sweaty equipment coffin designed to carry kit to and from venues
  • An insider let the cat out of the bag, saying she has to be wheeled to the stage
  • The singer spends several minutes in the box and emerges drenched with sweat

An insider has revealed Adele is being wheeled through her unsuspecting fans hidden in a sweaty box to get her on stage inconspicuously.

The multi-award winning artist is taken through the audience inside a bulky equipment coffin where she sits with an iPad to keep her entertained.

She joked with fans during a performance in Sydney announcing they would laugh when they found out why she keeps emerging drenched in sweat, but a source has let the cat out of the bag by divulging the big secret.

Is that Adele in there! The singer is said to travel in a box at her shows

When performing during arena tours, the British-based singer is able to use a series of tunnels to reach the stage undetected.

But due to demand, Adele is selling out sports stadiums, where the logistics of getting through the crowd unnoticed has proved slightly more tricky.

In order to avoid being mobbed by her adoring supporters, the 28-year-old is concealed inside a box designed to carry amps and instruments and wheeled through the crowd.

One downside is that several minutes inside the plastic container leaves her dripping with sweat - something she addressed early in her performance at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

'How I get to this stage makes me so sweaty. I'm drenched,' she said.

'I can't tell you til the end — you'll laugh when you find out.'

Hiding out: 'Most of her fans...just assume it's a piece of kit they are moving but...it's actually their idol... sitting in a pretty small box a few feet from them'

A show insider has lifted the lid on the trade secret.

They told The Sun: 'Adele sits in the box for several minutes as she is taken from her dressing room right to the centre of the crowd.

'Most of her fans just assume it's a piece of kit they are moving, but it's actually their idol sitting in a pretty small box a few feet from them.'

Meanwhile, the chart-topping singer isn't allowed access to her own Twitter account by her management because she can be 'mouthy', but Adele has admitted she's secretly created her own account on the micro-blogging website.

Dazzle in a Bardot gown like Adele in Zuhair Murad

Adele kicked off her Australian tour in style on Tuesday, performing for a packed out concert in Perth.

And a new tour calls for a new dress! This time Adele opted for a customised version of a Zuhair Murad Fall 2015 Couture look.

Wearing the plum hued off-the-shoulder embellished gown, Adele dazzled on stage as she belted out all her hits.

We love the Bardot neckline of this gown combined with the flattering nipped-in waist and billowing skirt which adds drama to the look; meanwhile the all-over embellishment really makes it shine!

Whilst this couture creation isn't available to buy online you can follow the link on the right to shop the ready-to-wear line at Net-a-Porter.

Or to recreate the look check out our edit of similar styles in the carousel below- all budgets covered! We threw in a short version but felt it has the same fab flair as the Zuhair gown.

Speaking during a gig in Brisbane, Australia, the 28-year-old star explained: 'I was looking on Twitter last night. They don't know I have a secret account, well obviously they do now because I said that. By 'they', I mean my management.

'I'm not allowed access to my own Twitter because I'm quite mouthy and I say the wrong thing a lot of the time, so they took that privilege away from me.'

Introducing her song Someone Like You, she told the crowd: 'I could see in people's eyes as they were listening to it on their headphones that it reminded them of something or someone.

'I was trying to remember how it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record because as bad as a break up can be, as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth, and I am addicted to that feeling.

'Obviously I can't go through with those feelings because I'm married now. I've found my next person.'

The singer-songwriter wowed 190,000 fans over two packed-out nights at ANZ Stadium.

But if she had her own way, the audience at her show on Saturday would have woken up today with hazy memories of the set.

Adele stopped between songs to admit she expected the crowd to be 'off their faces' the whole time, before suggesting they get a drink to make her show 'better'.

'This is my first time to Australia, I know lots of Australians who live over in London. And they are all absolute p**sheads,' she told the crowd at one point.

She added: 'I assumed that when I came over to Australia, you'd all be off your faces the whole time.'
