'Is it CLEAN?' Holly Willoughby can't hold back the giggles as she conducts bizarre This Morning interview with woman who shares a bath with her dog

She is known for hardly being able to contain her laughter while presenting This Morning

And Monday's episode of the show proved to be no exception, as Holly Willoughby found herself in a fit of giggles while interviewing a woman who always shares a bath with her dog.

The TV presenter, 36, branded the segment the 'strangest interview ever' as she quizzed dog owner Jodie Monahan while she sat in a tub full of soapy water with her French mastiff Brea.

Holly and Phillip Schofield revealed that dog owner Jodie cannot take a bath or shower without her pet joining her.

Heading over to join her in the studio, Holly sat down besides the bath and said: 'This is one of the strangest videos we've ever conducted.'

Phil remarked: 'Never have I ever,' before his co-host joked: 'I feel like I'm sitting on the loo talking to you.'

Holly laughed: 'Normally when you chat to someone in the bath you are sitting on the toilet.'

Jodie revealed that dog Brea first got a liking for bath time when she was just a puppy, after being left curious about the shower.

She explained: 'I came out of the shower and left the shower door open and [she] and brother went in.

'They were looking at the shower head, so I put it on and they both just sat there quite relaxed.'

Jodie then confessed: 'Every time I've been in the shower since she's always in the bathroom and just stares at the glass.'

'She's a clean girl, she's not a hairy dog' Jodie wasn't phased by the TV presenter's grilling over her pet Brea

She added that Brea often shares a bath with her and will come over to Jodie when she's bathing and stick her two front legs in the water, before then being given a helping hand to get in fully.

Slightly baffled by Jodie's story, Holly quizzed the This Morning guest on whether she felt it was 'clean' to wash with Brea in tow.

'The thing is she's a dog and she's got fur,' Holly pointed out.

'She doesn't necessarily go for a wee before she gets in... Are you not thinking, "Hang on a second I'm now sitting in the bath with a dog... is it clean?"'

Not fazed by Holly's grilling, Jodie insisted: '[Brea's] a clean girl. She's not a hairy dog.'

Holly then asked if Jodie's husband gets to join her in the bath instead of Brea sometimes, to which she quipped: 'No, just the dogs. There's a pecking order...'

Meanwhile, viewers at home were quick to comment on Brea's bath antics, with many, like Holly, left amused by Jodie's willingness to have her dog sharing her bath water.

One fan tweeted: 'I'm sorry but having the dog in the bath with you is not okay. #BOUNDERIES #thismorning.'

A second said: 'The dog in a Bath with her owner looks so wrong and funny at the same time #thismorning.'

A third commented: 'A woman who bathes with her dog!!!! Now I've seen everything (again)!!'

While a fourth wrote: 'I shower with my dog lol it makes it easier to clean her! And then we both smell of beautiful #lushcosmetics products!'
