Five firefighters were fired and one volunteer was suspended after a Snapchat video surfaced, showing a fellow member of the Houston fire department being hazed. The video showed a firefighter at the Westfield Fire Department in Texas being doused with water, along with mustard, flour, and yogurt while he was strapped down to a backboard. Fire Chief Stephen Whitehead called the hazing 'unacceptable' and 'dangerous' before launching an internal investigation, KPRC reported.

An Arizona police department is under investigation after the release of body camera footage that showed them arresting a woman who claimed she was pregnant. Witnesses claimed three officers used excessive force when attempting to arrest Rickeda Jobe (inset) who claimed she was pregnant at the time. The Gilbert Police Department released the on-body camera video (main) taken by three officers during the arrest. In the video, the officers are seen restraining Jobe against a police vehicle on March 5. Officers were arresting Jobe for allegedly violating a court order to stay away from a home. The officers said they were spit on, kicked and bit by Jobe, but the three camera angles only show her kicking them. Jobe, who suffered some bruises from the arrest, was taken into custody and booked on a number of charges, including aggravated assault on a police officer.

Haeli Wey, a 29-year-old teacher from Austin, was given 10 years of probation and ordered to complete 200 hours of community service after one of her students said the two has sex more than 10 times over the course of a two-month period and another detailed how she seduced him in a public park. Both of the students were 17 at the time, and the two teenagers stated in a 2015 affidavit that they first met Wey through ministry events. Wey will also get to have the case completely dismissed and expunged from her record in 10 years if she does not violate her probation. She entered a plea of guilty to two counts of improper relationship with a student back in February, and on Friday District Judge David Wahlberg let her walk free after a sentencing hearing that lasted less than four minutes.

Gina Caze, the abusive mother of Nakia Venant who streamed her suicide on Facebook Live, is accused of watching the footage and calling the 14-year-old a 'crying wolf' and a 'custody' thug, according to a report on Monday. Venant was found hanged from a door frame in a bathroom on January 22, in Miami. The Florida Department of Children and Families accuse Caze of mocking her daughter as she watched the two-hour long Facebook Live video and said the teen was just 'seeking attention'. Caze had a troublesome relationship with her teenage daughter after the girl was taken away due to physical abuse concerns but she denied that the comments came from her.

Cellphone footage of the incident show Capt Shantay Dash speak with an inmate in his cell and then lean in for a kiss, pictured left. She then gives the inmate a high five, pictured right. Dash is also pictured inset. Dash, from Brooklyn, resigned from her job Monday after the video surfaced.

It charges straight towards him and leaps up onto him, but instead of devouring the man's jugular the lion embraces him. In a hair-raising display of trust and bravery, the keeper even sits on the floor and allows the affectionate big cat to pin itself on top of him. It begins kissing the human, who is completely unfazed by the killer's jaws being so close to his neck.

Mekenzie Leigh Guffey, 19, allegedly told police that she had sex with the 14-year-old boy multiple times in her car when she was arrested in Hollywood, Alabama on Friday. Police said her relationship with the boy started in December when they were introduced via a mutual friend at a McDonald's restaurant. Authorities began investigating Guffey when she applied for Medicaid this month and identified the 14-year-old as the baby's father. The teenager posted news of her pregnancy on Facebook on March 2.

After making a friend in the polar bear at Saint Louis Zoo, Missouri, four-year-old Emma Garrett shows off a multi-coloured penguin she had just from the zoo gift shop. As she holds the penguin out with pride, the polar bear slides its paws and face down the glass to get a better look at Emma and her new prized possession. But suddenly, mistaking the toy for prey, the polar bear, Kali, leaps and thrashes itself down towards Emma and the penguin, headbutting the glass with an almighty thud.

Two kayakers got up close and personal with a few humpback whales off the coast of Hawaii. But it was one whale (pictured) in particular that put on a breathtaking show for its tiny audience. The video starts off with two of the humpbacks elegantly swimming through Puako Bay on Sunday before disappearing into the deep blue waters. Out of nowhere, one of the whales impressively breaches the water as the kayakers gasp in awe. The kayakers were in a two-person, tandem kayak, when they were entertained by the beautiful sea mammals.
