She's been optimistically looking towards her romantic future - dreaming of marriage and children - after finding love across the confines of prison bars.

But Lauren Goodger has revealed that while she's been with jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrison for six months, they've yet to consummate their unlikely romance.

In an interview with Reveal magazine, she readily admitted that she hasn't yet had sex with her beau, saying: 'No! Not in the UK, not in our prisons. But that’s what makes our relationship old-fashioned, and it’s quite beautiful.'

There would have been opportunities for the couple to enjoy some intimate time together, as Joey was given day release during the early stage of his imprisonment.

Despite not yet knowing of her and Joey's bedroom compatibility, she's jumped to planning a trip down the aisle and a family with him when he's released next March.

She told the publication: 'I can’t wait to get married and have kids. I love family life and I want it with Joey, because he’s my partner and I’m in love with him.'

Earlier this month, the former TOWIE star posted - and swiftly deleted - a message on Instagram revealing he is soon up for release.

The 30-year-old delightedly shared the news that it was 'not too long now' until she would experience romance with her beau on the outside world.

Lauren has been dating convicted criminal Joey for six months, during which time he has been serving his 17 years and eight months sentence for possession of a firearm, kidnap, blackmail and aggravated burglary.

He has already served over seven years of his sentence and is due for release in the coming months, with the star's latest post hinting at how soon they will be united.

In the snap, Joey is seen throwing a moody gaze while Lauren added a caption reading: 'Not too long now Joey Morrison starts coming out! Actually cannot wait it's going to be a good summer. Always my man crush everyday.'

While their relationship is not the most common, the stunning star recently hinted that they have now been intimate despite him being behind bars.

Talking to Loose Women in January, Lauren was asked about how she has said she hasn't had sex with her boyfriend of six months. She said: 'We have had some alone time but...' before her words were cut short by the Loose Women panel.

Continuing on she said: 'He was on ROTL, a release on temporary licence which means he gets freedom around the prison grounds. Then he was allowed day release but he he's lost that. It happens. So it is stricter now.'

Lauren had known Joey years ago and she was at his sister's house when he called from prison and they hit it off after she spoke to him.

She said: 'He asked me to come and visit him. I did and I was so scared but it was not as bad as I thought. It's like getting a flight.

'You have to go through security and take your shoes off and you can't take your phone in.'

Lauren feels that actually her relationship with Joey is stronger because he is serving time. She said: 'I've fallen in love with someone at face value. Normally you go on a date and drink, but we sit and talk. It's about respect and love and nothing else.'
