He's been at the centre of fan backlash on his current Australian tour, after allegedly snubbing fans and putting on lacklustre performances.

And a shirtless Justin Bieber appeared in no mood to have his pictures taken while at the luxurious Makepeace Island Resort in Queensland's Noosa on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old Canadian singer flipped the bird as he made his way around the island in board shorts.

Justin was pictured having some downtime at the plush resort, co-owned by Richard Branson.

Opting to go barefoot and revealing his torso in his striped shorts, the A-lister's series of tattoos were highly visible.

Justin donned a pair of tinted sunglasses as a low-key accessory.

The star also wrapped a striped towel over his broad shoulders.

On Friday, fans accused him of looking 'bored' and miserable while performing a sold-out show at Melbourne's Etihad Stadium. 

A day later he came under fire again after appearing to snub his devoted 'Beliebers', who gathered outside his hotel for a photo opportunity with the star.

Justin appeared to go incognito to avoid attention, but an eagle-eyed fan spotted him.

Sabah Helar, 20, told The Herald Sun that she had been circling the city in search of Justin, when she spotted him and rushed over to greet him.

'When I got out of my car, I ran over to ask for a photo, and that is when he said "why are you invading my privacy?"' she said.
