Emilia Clarke is haunted by ghosts as she puts on a chilling performance in eerie Voice from the Stone trailer 

She's used to working in the fantasy world with her starring turn in Game Of Thrones.

And Emilia Clarke proved she can take on supernatural roles with as much flair in the spine-chilling trailer for her new film, Voice from the Stone. 

The actress, 30, takes on the role of Verena, a nanny in 1950s Tuscany for the thriller, charged with taking care of a troubled young boy, Jakob.

In the clip, Verena can be seen doing her best to care for Jakob - played by Edward George Dring - who has gone mute following the sudden death of his mother.

Despite her best efforts to withdraw him from his troubles, Verena begins to suspect that he has fallen foul to a malicious spell surrounding the castle's walls. 

As she attempts to uncover the truth, Verena herself begins to feel the effects of the supernaturals going on, and is left fighting for her life after becoming dangerously ill.

The chilling clip ends with Verena sobbing as she pleads: 'I want to go now, please.'

The drama is directed by Eric Howell, who spent four years adapting the 1996 novel of the same name by Silvio Raffo into a screenplay.

Voice from the Stone is slated for release on April 28.

Emilia has had a busy 2017 thus far as she is also set to appear in the untitled Star Wars prequel about Han Solo.

It's set for release in 2018 and no word yet on who she will play, but she did appear in a promotional shot for the film released in February.

She will also star in Above Suspicion, a crime thriller based on the chilling true story of an FBI agent is assigned to a small town where he becomes involved with a local woman, leading to scandal.
