Lilo of Arabia: Lindsay Lohan sprawls out in sultry desert snap... after hinting she's releasing a line of headscarves

She is rumored to have converted to Islam and also hinted last week that she's going to be releasing a line of headscarves.

And Lindsay Lohan's passion for the middle east appears to be going strong as she posted a desert-themed snap to Instagram on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old actress is seen reclining on sand wearing a nude gown as she gazes sultrily at the camera.

'Finding some peace and solace in the desert,' she wrote alongside the snap.

Lindsay announced on Instagram on Friday that she was launching a new fashion line.

Aside from captioning the image, 'New Fashion Line coming soon .... #fashion', the Mean Girls star did not give much away as to what the collection will be.

Going by her picture however, it seems Lindsay may be putting out a range of headscarf and hijab.

The former child star wore a crystal-embellished scarf wrapped around her head and covering her mouth.

It has been speculated recently that Lindsay had converted to Islam after the actress said she found solace reading the Qur'an.

The star also told Good Morning Britain that she was 'racially profiled' for wearing a head scarf in Heathrow Airport.

Lindsay said: 'When I was flying to New York recently. I was wearing a headscarf and I got stopped at the airport and was racially profiled for the first time in my life.

'She opened my passport and saw Lindsay Lohan and started apologizing but said ''take off your head scarf''.

'I did, I mean it's OK. But what scared me was that moment, how would another woman who doesn't feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel? That was really interesting to me. I was kind of in shock.

'I can't speak for what the purpose of it was. But it was jarring. I got double checked until she realized. No [I'd never had that before]. It was strange. It did [freak me out]. I'm from New York, born and raised. I was a little intimidated.'

Lindsay has said she was wearing the headscarf as she had just left Turkey and she was doing it out of respect for the country's culture.

This is not the first time Lindsay has tried her hand at being a fashion designer.

Just last year the star released T-shirts and sweaters which poked fun at her suddenly different accent - which she dubbed 'Lilohan'.

Prior to that in 2008, Lindsay was the face of a sexy legging range called 6126.
