Chrissy Teigen almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction as she flew out of Los Angeles with husband John Legend and baby Luna.

The 31-year-old's decision to dress to impress at LAX on Thursday meant she came very close to freeing the nipple.

Potential wardrobe malfunctions aside, Chrissy Teigen's airport ensemble of long cotton cardigan and coordinating satin trousers looks super cosy for a long haul flight.

Arriving here at LAX, she basically wore the luxe Gucci version of pyjamas and we're totally okay with it. The red and navy contrast trim along the edge has been a Gucci signature for the last few seasons and recognisable anywhere.

She paired the precariously-placed cardigan with Gucci's Duchess pants which retail for $1,100.

While she went without luggage, the model did carry a black duffel and a blue Celine handbag.

John made sure to grab the duffel off his wife so she could push baby Luna along in her stroller.

The little girl is quite the frequent flyer so quietly rested in her carrier as her dad took her out of the car and clipped into the stroller.

Luna certainly has some doting parents who love and support each other.

Recently Chrissy revealed she had suffered from postpartum depression and on Tuesday John legend spoke of how he supported his wife through the period.

'[As a man] you don’t know internally what it feels like. You should read about it and understand what it is and really just be there to help,' John said. 'You need to be present and you need to be compassionate. And we’re all learning and trying to figure it out as we go. At least do that and try to figure it out together.'
