And Nicky Hilton proved yet again that she is the belle of the ball as she sashayed into the prestigious Frick Collection Young Fellows Ball: Turner by Moonlight in New York on Thursday night.

The 33-year-old stunned in a floor-length dazzling silver gown at the event, which is one of the premier society events in the world.

The blonde beauty joined around 500 well-heeled guests at the glamorous ball who turned out to celebrate, enjoy cocktails and eat hors d’oeuvres.

Nicky and her fellow society belles also got the chance to admire some world-renowned art with breathtaking exhibits on display.

The fashion designer showed off her credentials in choosing the stylish gown, with its plunging-yet-modest neckline, delicate detailing and cinched waist.

And as usual, Nicky sported her headline-grabbing engagement ring, weighing an estimated eight carats, gifted to her by her banking scion heir husband James Rothschild in 2014.

But, true to form, the socialite gave her ensemble an edgy touch through her eye-catching matching box clutch and by eschewing jewels for the night.

The style icon allowed her blonde tresses to tumble down loosely over her shoulders in light waves.

Her make-up was flawlessly applied with a slick of liquid eyeliners drawing out the twinkly blue colour of her eyes, and light elsewhere allowing her natural beauty to shine.
