She's the fashion-forward star who was in her element hosting America's Next Top Model.

However, after creator Tyra Banks revealed she was strutting back to the hot seat, Rita Ora relied on some support from her pal Nick Grimshaw as the news was announced.

The pop princess looked keen to go under the radar, pulling a baseball cap over her face as she headed out in London with the Radio One DJ.

Rita, 26, showed off her gym-honed figure in tight leggings and a midriff-baring black top as she clung onto her famous friend's arm, who knows only well how she is feeling after they were both cut from The X Factor after one series in 2015.

Going casual, Rita wore a chic cream coat and donned trendy grey sneakers.

The London-raised beauty hid her caramel-coloured locks under a baseball cap and slung a roomy black leather bag over her shoulder.

Nick, 32, didn't look quite so stylish in his tattered jeans with gaping holes at his knees.

He wore a pair of black suede sneakers and stuck close to the downcast singer.

The news that Rita was no longer hosting the show broke when Tyra confirmed her return on Thursday, tweeting: 'I miss my ANTM baby so Mama's back!'

The supermodel created the model talent contest back in 2003 and hosted the reality show until 2016 when it moved from The CW to VH1.

She relinquished her hosting duties last year but clearly had a change of heart.

'I love you!!!' Rita tweeted back, before teasing that she was leaving to focus on releasing her long-awaited second album.

The British beauty enthused: 'Love to you all for amazing ride! Cannot wait for you all to hear my new music'.

Rita's fans were quick to chime in with messages of support and glee, enthusing that she was thrilled about the prospect of releasing new music.

'It's TIME PEOPLE!!! Love the whole ANTM cast and crew and good luck for the future!! Love you @tyrabanks.'

Season 24 of ANTM is slated to begin production this summer.

'It was such an honour': Rita paid tribute to Tyra in a sweet social media post, thanking her for allowing her the opportunity to host the show

In a statement, Tyra expanded on her reasons for deciding to return as host.

'I’m overwhelmed and humbled by the intensity of the ‘ANTM’ fan base whose deep affection for the show led me to have a change of heart,' she said.

'After giving it a lot of thought, I realised that remaining behind the camera wasn’t enough because ANTM is woven into my DNA,' she explained.

Meanwhile, a source close to Rita said she had enjoyed her time on ANTM but wanted to prioritise new music she is working on.

'Rita loved her time on ANTM and Tyra was a big supporter but music is Rita's first love and she wanted to concentrate on getting this new record out,' the insider explained.

'The last few years has seen Rita's time taken up by TV, film and fashion but this year her focus is on following up her Number One debut album.'

It was just a few days ago that the producers of America's Got Talent surprised everyone with the news that they'd chosen Tyra to replace original host Nick Cannon, who departed the show after eight seasons.

Nick, 36, left following a dispute with NBC executives over remarks he made during his Showtime comedy special Stand Up, Don't Shoot last month.

Once again, Tyra took to Twitter to let her fans know about her new gig, tweeting: 'Surprise! TyTY is the new host of #AGT @nbcagt! Can't wait 2work w/new fam.'
