'I'd go blank': Cole Sprouse was so 'infatuated' with Jennifer Aniston when playing David Schwimmer's son on Friends he'd forget his lines

He played the young son of David Schwimmer's Ross Geller on Friends.

And Cole Sprouse, now 24, says that he could barely speak when he was in the role of Ben, as he was so 'infatuated' with co-star Jennifer Aniston

The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody actor explained that he would get tongue-tied around the actress - who played Rachel Green - when he was on the show from 2000 until 2002. He was only eight-years-old at the time.

'I had a really, really hard time working with Aniston because I was so in love with her,' he told the New York Post.

'I was infatuated. I was speechless — I’d get all bubbly and forget my lines and completely blank. It was so difficult,' he added.

The actor says he hasn't seen the cast since he has grown up: 'If I saw any of them, I’d say, “Hello.” But it’s been a while and I certainly don’t look the same, so it’d be a hard sell. And if I did look the same, that’d be a little disconcerting.'

Cole was a blond-haired eight-year-old when he joined the show for seven episodes of the iconic NBC series.

He told the publication it was a nerve-wracking experience to be around so many familiar faces and big-names.

'The scale was just tremendous and you felt it when you stepped on set, even as a kid. It was challenging because I was a small kid who was working with these sort of megalithic actors at the time.

'It was quite intimidating. But it was a really wonderful experience. They were all tremendously nice,' he added.

Alongside his twin brother Dylan, he then joined the Disney Channel for teen sitcom The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

He's now ditched his natural blond locks to play Jughead, the black-haired narrator of edgy teen-drama Riverdale.
