Lisa famously dropped from a size 30 to an impressive size 14 after embarking on a regimented 400 calorie a day diet last year.

In January, she admitted that while she has shed the pounds, she is now very insecure about her excess skin - and is having it surgically removed.

Clearly still coming to terms with her sensational weight loss, the stunning star shared the image, in which she leaned against a car while beaming and sporting a denim jacket, while adding an empowering caption.

She penned: 'Sometimes it hits me,TRULY don't recognise the person in the other photo, feel proud of choices I was ALLOWED to make, decided to make change'.

Lisa shared another image alongside the snap in which she showed off her incredibly trim figure, as she reflected on her weight loss journey.

The actress previously explained her upcoming procedure on Loose Women - confessing she has decided to go under the knife because she still feels her 'reflection is horrendous'.

She appeared on the ITV chat show to explain where she was having skin removed, after admitting she had been 'kidding herself' over the last few months that the leftover skin didn't bother her.

She said to her fellow hosts: 'The boobs and the front of me, which is what they call the apron, just looks ridiculous. It makes you think ‘Am I vain?’'

The Manchester native continued that the skin even interferes with her every day life, including exercise classes and even walking up the stairs.

'Yesterday’s yoga class I was so uncomfortable,' she admitted sadly. 'I was trying to tuck it in. People call it a spare tyre but its more than that. As I walk downstairs, my stomach hits my thighs, during a Zumba class its clapping around.'

She added on the worst part of her body: 'It's my arms – it rubs to the point of no return. It’s so bad, it whips me when I lift my arm up.'

Lisa again expressed her desire to remove her drooping skin on an episode of Loose Women in November. Despite gaining both confidence and her health back with the slim down, the TV personality admitted that she still finds her reflection 'horrendous', adding to viewers: 'I’m entitled to this surgery. It’s my life now.'

She explained where she was to have the skin cut on a carboard cut-out of her figure - talking the procedure through at her arms, stomach and thighs, which she brutally described to look like 'lumps of tripe' and a 'deflated rugby ball'.

When asked about the scars the surgery will no doubt cause however, the brunette remained indifferent towards them - just wanting confidence as the end result.

She admitted: 'I’m not bothered. I’m covered in stretch marks anyway.'

However, while she looks forward to her new body, Lisa confessed that her nearest and dearest are not so excited.

She conceded: 'When I told my brother and dad, I could see it in their eyes how scared they were. But I'm not getting lipo, just a great surgeon,' she continued, before adding optimistically: 'If I’m sat here at the end of March looking like that, what a great start to my year.'
