'During that time Emma Watson came over to our house for dinner. We were talking about the dress and the dress design and Willow, who was five at the time, overheard the conversation.

'And we were talking away and she nipped off next door with a pen and paper. She came back half an hour later with five different dress designs.'

Dan said that Willow sat down with Emma and talked through the designs, before picking one together.

He said his daughter excitedly said 'That's the one' after going on set to watch the ballroom scene, and seeing Emma in the gown.

His costume was not quite as glamorous, as he had to wear a 'muscle suit' made of grey Lycra, which weighed 40lbs.

He also had to walk on stilts whilst shooting scenes for the highly-anticipated romantic movie.

Dan explained: 'They created this [the Beast] out of two different kinds of CGI technology fused together - never been done before.

'So I was puppeteering a muscle suit on set, covered in grey Lycra on 10inch stilts, so all the body happens on set. It was very heavy and hot and awkward.

She said: 'Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women. It's about freedom, it's about liberation, it's about equality.

'I really don't know what my t**s have to do with it.

'It's very confusing. I'm always quietly stunned They were saying I couldn't be a feminist and have boobs,' she also said.
