And Tina Malone is keen on continuing her transformation as she debuted an edgier new mane after leaving London's Bleach Hair Salon on Saturday.

Going make-up free, the 54-year-old actress was all smiles after she traded in her long locks for a bleach blonde pixie crop.

Tina's stunning new choppier tresses were centre parted and swooped slightly over the side of her forehead.

Clearly she loved the fresh look, as she stopped to pose for photographers, all while ensuring a smile never forewent her face.

Matching her new locks, the former Shameless star also looked super trendy in a faux-fur animal coat, grey wash jeans and knee-high boots.

Her smiles stand in stark contrast to her tears on Loose Women earlier this month, when she revealed how her mother Olwyn, has been affected by cruel trolls who slammed her 'wrinkly' bikini body, and has even turned to medication to cope.

Tina said: 'I saw the pictures and all the wrinkles and it knocked me sick. My mum is 78, she doesn't need the upset. My husband Paul wants to kill everyone.'

Her mother was sat in the audience and she admitted she was struggling to cope with the bullies.

She said: 'I can't take it. It upsets me terribly. I'm on medication because I am so upset. It's so cruel.'

Tina, wearing a Bowie Labyrinth T-shirt, was targeted by trolls who criticised her excess skin after she wore a series of bikinis while on holiday in Tenerife.

She said: 'I'm not good-looking... I'm disgusted with myself. I am an old bird, but I think I have come a long way. What more do I need to do?'

'I've just had my ninth operation. I've been so upset. It's five days following the operation. I've just had my stomach redone.

'The doctors didn't realise I would get to a size six. I hadn't realised how small and thin I was. I've lost 12.5 stone. I've done so well.'

While she read out some of the vile comments she has seen, Tina has said she will now not have any more surgery, apart from Botox and non-invasive lipo.

Last week she wrote on Twitter: 'I am horrified by the wrinkly skin on my legs,tummy,back,bum etc,' she wrote on Tuesday. 'I actually have sobbed tonite x.

'I'd just like to say I'm no model. I'm an old girl, 54 yrs I'm happy, healthy eradicated my diabetes and high blood pressure.'

Telling followers that she planned to take action, she added: 'I take it all and that goes with the job, I'm not blind. I know how much skin I need to have removed.

'I just feel for my family. I cudnt (sic) give a rat's a**e what people think bout my wrinkly,saggy skin. Its what I think that counts,it looks awful,so.. watch this space xx'

'But I'm only human, I don't deserve the batterin iv (sic) had from people, just nasty comments, its not fair to my hubby, daughters etc.'
