Earlier in the evening, Adele joked that if her fans were looking for a good time they had come to the wrong place, describing her concert as 'basically just two hours of crying and songs about my ex-boyfriend'.

For the concert - the biggest ever held at Etihad Stadium - Adele wore a maroon off-the-shoulder Zuhair Murad gown embroidered with 10,000 Swarovski crystals, which she has worn throughout her Australian tour.

However, the always self-deprecating singer joked: 'I don't look like the way you can see me on the screen.'

The Hello star also made sure to address the fans right at the back of the stadium.

'You had such sh*t seats, I felt terrible!' Adele said, explaining she left handwritten thank-you notes on some of the seats.

With Adele's final show in Australia scheduled for Sunday night, the 28-year-old revealed she was surprised by how much fun she's had.

'I’m not much of a touring artist, I’d rather be home having Chinese to be honest,' she confessed.

Adele is married to Simon Konecki and they have a son, four-year-old Angelo.

However, her family mostly been able to avoid the spotlight Down Under, with Adele suggesting the paparazzi have been too busy 'following Justin Bieber'.

Justin is also on a tour of Australia and New Zealand and recently performed at the same Melbourne venue.
