Mikayla, whose brunette hair was woven into an eleborate updo, carried a small round bouquet of roses and baby's breath.

Michael, 40, looked elegant in a black suit, crisp white shirt and tie with a peach-colored rose in his lapel.

The ceremony was held at Race And Religious, a rustic 1839 venue that boasts a pool and a fountain-flanked cobblestone courtyard, perfect for photographs capturing the happy day.

After the bride and groom sealed their marriage with a kiss, the entire wedding party followed a jazz band that played as they walked around the block, sheltered from the heat under white umbrellas.

At the reception, the guests dined on traditional Cajun dishes including shrimp creole, gumbo and crawfish bread.

As night fell, the beautiful outdoor venue was lit up by hundreds of candles.

'My photographer was a childhood friend from New Jersey. She said the venue was a photographer’s dream,' Mikayla dished.
