Sandra Bullock indulged in a little retail therapy on Monday.

The Blind Side actress was spotted shopping in Studio City in LA, dressed casually in cropped frayed black jeans and an over-sized grey and white striped shirt.

She wore flat black slip-on shoes and dark sunglasses, and her long chocolate-colored hair hung loose.

The 52-year-old looked serious as she made her way back to her Range Rover clutching her tan brown handbag on one arm, along with a shopping bag from clothing boutique Stacey Todd.

But despite her seemingly downcast appearance, friends of the star say she is finally in a great place.

The Miss Congeniality actress has been dating photographer Bryan Randall since 2015, after a rough divorce from TV personality Jesse James in 2010.

The couple split after it was revealed Jesse, 47, had been cheating on her throughout their five-year marriage, leaving Sandra to raise their adopted son, Louis, seven, single-handedly.

The brunette beauty has since also adopted a daughter named Laila, five.

'Life after Jesse was really tough. She was embarrassed by what he did and in ways blamed herself at the time (she knows now it wasn't her at all),' a source told E! Online on Wednesday.

'She did consider Jesse a father to Louis, so that was one of the hardest parts of breaking up. Jesse was there for her through the whole adoption process. She now knows she is much better off and everything happens for a reason.'

'She lived just for her child Louis for a while and stayed away from dating to focus on herself and Louis. It took Sandy some time to actually open up to a man, trust and love again.'
