Joseph Gordon-Levitt 'in talks' to team up with pal Channing Tatum for musical Wingmen

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his pal Channing Tatum are reportedly 'in talks' to finally team up for their fifth onscreen collaboration.

The 36-year-old Emmy winner and hitRECord founder also wants to write, produce, and direct Universal's R-rated musical comedy Wingmen - according to Variety.

The long-delayed project - which was first announced a year ago - centers on two pilots who crash in Las Vegas and cover Billboard 100-style hits in a 'Pitch Perfect meets Book of Mormon'-style adventure.

The Sundance Jury Prize winner - who turns 37 next month - will also produce Wingmen, which will be co-penned by his 22 Jump Street screenwriter Michael Bacall.

Channing and Joseph both conquered Spike TV's Lip Sync Battle with their hilarious dead-on impersonations of pop divas Beyoncé and Janet Jackson, respectively.

The married fathers-of-one last collaborated on Gordon-Levitt's 2013 directorial debut Don Jon, where Tatum starred in the movie-within-a-movie 'Someone Special' with Anne Hathaway.

The talented twosome also acted together in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), Stop-Loss (2008), and Havoc (2005).
