A Hawaiian hoarder is refusing to clear up a mountain of trash which surrounds his home despite years of complaints and astronomical fines.
Rollin Yee's home in Makiki in Honolulu is almost entirely barricaded by garbage, rusting vintage cars, filthy mattresses, branches, leaves and plastic buckets.
The wall of trash outside his front door is 5ft tall, forcing Yee to climb over it to get inside.
Neighbors say he no longer lives in the house and just comes by to collect mail. Despite their repeated complaints and appeals from the state, he refuses to clear it up.
Rusting cars and traffic cones are among the garbage outside this hoarder's haven in Makiki, Honolulu. The owner has been handed $250,000 in fines and is being sued by the city but still will not clean it up
One of three rusting cars on the property has been heavily vandalized. Neighbors say the owner gets inside by climbing over it and on to a pile of rubbish behind it to then squeeze in to a hole in the garbage at the top of the front door

He is yet to pay $250,000 in fines which date back 10 years and is now being taken to court by the city. Officials are finally moving in to clear up the mess.
Furious neighbors said the property was more than an eyesore.
'Especially whenever it rains, you can smell the odor, you kinda smell it now, it's kind of a thick smell,' one told Hawaii News Now.
Another told how Yee once got stuck in the garbage as he tried to get inside.
'He needed help. He was yelling and we were outside and basically we had to go in. We couldn't get too far just rubbish from floor to ceiling. You can't really walk in there. It's not livable conditions,' they said.
The growing trash also attracts rats, they said.

Blinds, branches, more TVs and large plastic water bottles also sit among the junk which neighbors said lets off a hideous odor when wet

'You can see the rat traps all over the ground. It's definitely become an issue that's spreading. It's not something that's contained,' Bean Morrow told KITV.
City officials said Yee was up to date with property taxes but had not paid any of the fines. It is not clear where he lives now or if he has family.
The property's unkempt exterior drastically contrasts its neighbors more refined facades. The first complaint about the house was made 16 years ago.
Since then, the city has received more than 20. It is finally able to move in on the mess without the owner's consent thanks to a recent change in law.
Rusting steel trash cans and branches also form part of the 5ft barricade which neighbors say is a health hazard
