Keshia Knight Pulliam and ex Ed Hartwell are fighting over custody of their two-month-old daughter Ella.

The Cosby Show star's former husband just filed new documents in their divorce proceedings asking for joint-custody, according to reports gathered by TMZ

The former NFL linebacker's claim for custody comes after a paternity test confirmed the six-foot two-inch athlete is in fact the child's biological sire.

In the documents, the football star, 38, included a letter from his ex-wife, RHOA star Lisa Wu, which praise him as both a father and a man, saying, 'I am never worried about [our] child when he is with his dad.'

Wu and Hartwell were married from 2005 to 2011 and have a 10-year-old son named Ed Jr. from their relationship.

Lisa continues, 'I know his dad will do everything within his power to love, protect and provide for EJ while he is not with me.'

The RHOA personality goes on, 'I am positive that [Hartwell] will put his daughter's best interest first as he has shown with my children.'

Ed also assured the courts that he's more than willing to pay child support, even though he previously asked courts to suspend his child support payments until an exact amount is agreed upon.

The linebacker denied Keshia's claim she needed 'emergency financial support,' citing her own personal fortune. The star is most recognized for her role as Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show.

The football star and Atlanta-born actress split last July after just shy of seven months as man and wife.

At the time of the split, Hartwell claimed he had serious doubts the child was his and demanded a paternity test upon the child's birth. After Ella Grace was born in January, a test confirmed Hartwell as the father.

Now after confirming that the two-month-old is in fact his, it seems that the former footballer is now set on sharing custody with Keshia.

On her part, Keshia is reportedly not interested in Hartwell having a part in raising their daughter. In her own filing, the star accuses her ex of plotting to make her have a miscarriage while she was pregnant.
